Privacy policy
What we collect, why we collect it, who else sees it and how long we keep it. No dark patterns and nothing sold on.

1. Who is responsible for your data
Momentum Research Ltd is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 17108789, with our registered office at 3rd Floor, 86–90 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NE, United Kingdom.
For any question about your data, or to exercise any of the rights below, write to info@momentumresearchltd.com.
2. What we collect
When you enquire
Our enquiry form collects your name, email address, the subject of your enquiry and whatever you write in the message. We only ask for what we need to reply to you.
When you become a client
We hold the information needed to run the project and get paid: contact details, billing name and address, correspondence, the brief and any assets you send us, and the invoices we issue. Where a project requires access to your systems, we hold the credentials or delegated access you grant us, and we remove that access when the work is finished.
When you pay
Card payments are processed by our payment provider. Your card number never reaches our servers and we never see or store it. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, the amount, and the last four digits of the card for reconciliation.
When you visit this website
Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and diagnostics. If we run analytics, it is configured not to track you across other websites.
3. Why we use it, and our lawful basis
| What we do | Lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Reply to your enquiry | Legitimate interests — responding to someone who has contacted us |
| Deliver a project you have ordered | Performance of a contract |
| Invoice you and take payment | Performance of a contract |
| Keep accounting and tax records | Legal obligation |
| Keep the website secure and working | Legitimate interests — protecting our systems |
| Send you an occasional update about our services | Consent, which you can withdraw at any time |
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
4. Who we share it with
We use a small number of suppliers who process data on our behalf, each under a written agreement that limits them to our instructions:
- Our website hosting provider, which stores this site and its enquiry submissions.
- Our payment provider, which processes card payments.
- Our email provider, for correspondence with you.
- Our accountant and accounting software, for invoicing and statutory records.
We may also disclose information where we are required to by law, or to establish or defend a legal claim.
5. International transfers
Some of our suppliers are based outside the United Kingdom. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or on the International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, so that your data keeps essentially the same protection it has here.
6. How long we keep it
| Information | Kept for |
|---|---|
| Enquiries that do not become projects | 12 months, then deleted |
| Project files and correspondence | 3 years after the project ends |
| Invoices and accounting records | 6 years, as required by UK tax law |
| Access credentials to your systems | Removed at the end of the project |
| Marketing consent records | Until you withdraw consent, then a suppression record only |
7. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask us for a copy of your personal data; to have inaccurate data corrected; to have data erased where we no longer need it; to restrict or object to how we use it; to receive it in a portable format; and to withdraw consent where consent is the basis we rely on.
Write to info@momentumresearchltd.com and we will respond within one month. We do not charge for this.
8. Cookies
This website uses only the cookies needed to make it work and to keep it secure. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not track you across other websites. If that changes, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.
9. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first — we would rather fix it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK supervisory authority, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
